Academics

In committing our educational approach to integral learning, we recognize that God created the world through relationships and through connections. We believe it is best to learn through subject matter that is connected, rather then isolated, disconnected bits of information.

When our students in third grade, for instance, study ancient Egypt, they read literature based on the historical figures and events of this time. They also study the science, culture, the arts, and the philosophies of this period. Geographic studies focus on the travels of Abraham, Joseph, and Moses and the Israelites, along with more recent developments. Bible verses and stories show our students how to compare and contrast beliefs of this time and truths that we hold presently.

With this type of approach to learning, the classroom becomes a place of living experiences. Each day offers opportunities to learn through hands-on experiments and projects, and students are always encouraged to think, explore, speak, and be challenged.
