Foreign Language

Spanish instruction begins in the first grade and continues through the eighth grade.  Spanish is the most widely used second language in our country and is commonly offered in both high schools and colleges.

Latin instruction begins in the upper grades and is integrated within our unit studies. Latin provides an efficient way for students in grades 6-8 to learn the grammatical structure of the English language.  As the basis for approximately fifty percent of the English vocabulary, Latin is the key to all the romance languages including French and Spanish.  Latin requires precision and attention to detail that carries over to other fields of study such as science and law.
