Athletics

The Cambridge athletic program was developed out of the passions of parents and the desire of students to participate in after-school athletics. The sports teams allow students to learn to be competitive in ways that honor God: to work as a team; to strive for team goals; to use the physical gifts and talents given to them; to build character and encourage one another; and to honor our opponents.

The athletic program offers opportunities to grow and to learn about ourselves and the world around us. We also see this program as a powerful way to reach out to other schools and other teams by the ways that we model our competitive spirit, stress sportsmanship, and work as a team.

Currently, we have a girls’ soccer team and a boys’ flag football team in the fall, basketball for girls and boys in the winter, and opportunities to run track and cross country in the spring. Many of our coaches are parents who are dedicated to working with young people, share a passion for sports, and volunteer their time on a weekly basis.
