Parent Enrichment Night

  • Cambridge School 110 Sudbrook Lane Pikesville, MD, 21208 United States (map)

Join us for an evening of enrichment opportunities for Cambridge parent as we explore the following topics:

  1. MAP Testing: Do you have questions about the standardized testing that Cambridge uses? Heather Jordan, who assisted Cambridge last year with the implementation of this new testing, will lead a presentation, designed to explain how it works, how to interpret results for you child, and how standardized testing complements other forms of student progress evaluation at Cambridge.

  2. Parent Partnership: Do you ever wonder how you can become more involved in your children’s learning experiences? Would you like to dig more deeply into the practical meaning of “parent partnership” in your children’s education? Maria Dubois will lead an interactive presentation designed to provide practical strategies for how to remain involved in your children’s education that expands on her presentation from Parent Visitation Night.

  3. Digital Communication: Cell phones, text messaging, Snapchat, Facebook... The list goes on, and we don't yet know what's around the corner in digital communication. In this time of widespread access to digital media, what are the implications for your children? What role can you play as a parent? Resources for this presentation will be provided by the Institute for Responsible Online and Cellphone Communication (www.iroc2.org), an organization that has been widely recognized for its effective and practical contributions to issues of children’s health and safety in the digital age.
